Its opening, Inner Universe by Origa and Shanti Snyder is truly eargasmic. It's a mix between English, Russian, and Latin.
The Laughing Man is definitely one of my fave anime characters beside Major Motoko Kusanagi.
And the Tachikomas are funny and super-intelligent. I instantly love them. Probably the funniest and the smartest A.I. characters I ever know.
